He angitūtanga - The opportunity

We are on the hunt for a Waste Minimisation Officer to join our Infrastructure Services team. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate professionals in their field, who are personally driven by results and solutions, and who possess superb attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the implementation and promotion of Horowhenua Waste Minimisation Plan. This includes but is not limited to, liaising with waste education providers, schools, event organiser and businesses as well as supporting schools and community groups in waste minimisation practices.

As the successful candidate, you will have an environmental or science related degree and some experience within Local Government. You will be an outgoing individual who is not afraid of a challenge, show great initiative and be passionate about waste minimisation.
